Lexi Melton

I took a Creative Writing class once, and my teacher said something that really stuck with me. 
"Why do you write?" 
He talked about the different reasons that people write stories. 
For money,
fame,
or for the pure enjoyment.
He said that if I wanted people to read what I've written, that I needed to change certain aspects of it. However, I disagree with him, for if I were to change these things just so I could get money or fame, I would betray the story. 
The reason I write is something that comes from the heart. I have all of these characters and stories that I feel I must share, and I'm not going to turn something into a teenage romance just to have more readers. 
I write to spread a message, and to give a little bit more of my heart and soul to the world.
