Lisa Hennessey

I'm a 32 year old from MN. My son is my life & b/c of him, I have decided to revisit my passion of writing. The best way I can be the greatest role model to my son is by showing him through example to chase your dreams and never give up. I want to show him that following your passions is always worth it and that the only way you can truly fail is to never try. I want to make him proud of me but I also want to be proud of myself.

 Every English teacher I ever had has told me "I'd be waisting my God given natural talent and ability to move people through words" if I didn't write. Along with reading and writing, I have also always loved the process of film making. I used to want to be an actress and would if I ever had the chance, but I think the behind scenes of film making is beyond fascinating. Through writing, I would love to create a screenplay or have a novel turned into a film. That would be my ultimate dream come true!

To earn money I currently work as a Group Home Manager for individuals with disabilities and am working towards completing my RN degree. Nursing and caring for others is also a passion of mine. I wake up every day and look forward to going to work. Seeing my residents smile is the most rewarding feeling there is and I feel lucky & blessed I get to be in their presence everyday!

I hope to meet some amazing like minded people through here and hopefully find some avenues to pursue my writing dreams. I don't know if I'll ever "make it" but I definitely know I will have a blast trying! My goal is to make my readers feel something powerful and to inspire people. If I can accomplish that with one person reading my story, then I will have made it!
