AMERICAN MAGIC
A thousand years ago the Native American gods settled in for a long sleep and the veil that had shielded The Americas from the rest of the world began to waver, allowing the vikings Leif and Thorvald Erikson-and all of the European explorers that followed-to find a new continent on a world that had previously seemed small and flat. Now the gods are awake and unhappy about the world they've woken up in. Enter Mae, an average, if struggling, 16 year old girl who undergoes a traditional coming of age ceremony at the behest of her uncle and becomes the first person to speak directly with the gods in over a thousand years. Now she must struggle to comprehend the ancient magic they have awoken in her and defend herself against a sinister evil that would like nothing more than to see magic snuffed out for good.
