I live in Eastern Washington and have an awesome family and group of friends.
Originally from California's Bay Area my parents decided to move us up to Washington in the heart of winter, during one of the coldest weeks on record. It was the first time I realized that pants were actually a necessary clothing item and not just for looks, plus don't even get me started on those crazy things called long johns. My dad, who was from the country back in his youth, decided to take us city kids and make us country folk. That was an uphill climb...I love animals, but dirt is another story.
Through twists and turns in life's adventures we moved back to California, then back to Washington. During that time I was able to receive my bachelor's degree in elementary education and have loved every moment of teaching. This coming year will be my fourteenth year teaching third grade, I just can't seem to pass.
I have travelled many places around the world, each one touching my heart and life in its own little way.
If I were to touch on the most important thing in my life I would have to say my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him in my life I know I would not be where I am today. He is my rock and my calm in the ever present storm we call life.
Writing has always been something I enjoy doing and I'm glad I am able to have this opportunity to share my story with you.
