Hey everyone! So my weekend was really, really busy and I didn't get a chance to finish editing the new chapter of Beyond the Call of Duty. So there won't be an update today. However, I do hope to update by Wednesday. So just hang on a bit longer!

@ouat_regina_forever I am working on The Nanny. I'm not sure when I will update--I've been hard at work on my Advent story--but I hope to have it soon.

Hey everyone, I know I don't post messages here often but something has come up that I think is important enough to do so.

          It has come to my attention that several of my Outlaw Queen friends' stories have been found on this website, posted by people who are NOT them. In this case, the person has noted that they are not the original author and are posting someone else's work but this is NOT OKAY. They do NOT have the permission of the original author and there really is nothing to redirect people to the original author. If you see this, please let the person doing so know that this isn't cool and they should take it down. Also please let me know so I can tell the original author--they deserve the right to ask the person to take it down too and if necessary, to take steps with Wattpad to get their work removed.

          I know there are many OQ stories that are not on Wattpad but that doesn't make it okay to post them here. The only person who decides where they share their story is the original author. After talking with some of my friends, it is clear they do not trust this site and incidents like this are why.

          In another case, someone from a different fandom stole one of my friends' stories and just changed the names to fit their fandom. And they are pretending as if they wrote everything. This is also NOT COOL and needs to be called out if you see it. Once again, if you see something like this--where another Outlaw Queen story has been stolen and used by another writer--please let me know so I can let the original writer know.

          And if you see any of my stories posted here or on other sites that aren't posted by me (MackenzieW or Mackenzie Winner. I don't change my name) then please let me know. Also let me know if you see someone stealing my story and changing the names to fit another fandom. I would very much appreciate it.

          Thank you.

To also add about people who post works, even if they note that they didn't write it--

            Most times, readers don't seem to read the author's note and don't seem to realize that it is not the poster's story. At least, not according to the comments I've seen--where they ask for more and want second parts. Never does the poster then respond to remind the reader that they are not the original writer and point them to the original writer, who should be the one to get that comment. It could be the difference between whether the writer continues a story or even continues writing at all. If it doesn't seem there's interest or readers, writers may decide it's not worth it to continue writing. So you're not helping the author by "sharing" their story with more readers--because that author doesn't know and isn't getting a chance to interact with those readers!

            So once again, please don't do it and please report those who do. Thank you.

@MackenzieWinner I completely agree.

@RegalLove It does take a lot of time and effort, which is also then stolen along with our words. And it's even worse when someone pretends they worked so hard on something when all they did was copy and paste it--maybe change a few names.
