Hello,
I read a story about a lost family trope approximately four years ago, but I'm having trouble locating it. I need assistance in finding it. I believe the story was titled "Older Brothers." Although I can't recall all the details, here's what I remember: The protagonist, named Lila (although I'm uncertain), is the only daughter among seven or eight brothers, including a twin named Alex/Caleb. When Lila was just a few months or a year old, she was kidnapped, and her parents tragically died in the incident. The only memento she has of her parents is a necklace with their family picture, which her twin also possesses. Lila lives with the kidnappers, who lost their own daughter around the same age and hold her responsible. These individuals are alcoholics and subject her to frequent abuse. Due to a police incident or debts, they are forced to relocate to a different state or country, where Lila starts attending school. To her surprise, she encounters a doppelgänger at school who instantly despises her. This person also has many older brothers. Eventually, Lila is assigned as this person's partner and visits their home. There, she discovers that she is their long-lost sister. After a while, the brothers become aware of the abuse she endures, but it's too late as she requires urgent surgery that puts her life at risk. Fortunately, she survives, and they all move to their home country, where they live happily together. Later on, another book continues her story, where she meets someone she falls in love with, possibly named Milano or something similar. I would appreciate any help in locating this story as it has been bothering me.L
