P. L. Black (a.k.a. Mars_R_Marathon) is a writer living in Philadelphia, PA. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University and earned her  Certificate in Creative Writing  at Community College of Philadelphia. She was a reporter for the Temple Times and previously worked in television. She won first place for drama in the Judith Stark Creative Writing Contest. Her play, Prevent Fires, won an award from the City of Philadelphia.  She has been published in Temple News, CCP Academically Speaking and Limited Editions.
