@Legends_Fanfiction well hi! I appreciate your love for the story, but for right now I really don't know what to do with it, like I know how I want it to play out and I've been trying to make edits to the story on and off but I've left the countryhumans fandom awhile ago since the fandom kinda died in 2020 and most of the people that have made great ch content have since moved on to other things and some even deleted their ch stuff. Plus, I've learned a lot of dark things about American history in particular and I don't know if I'm comfortable portraying that kind of character in a positive light.
So I've been debating if I should update the story, abandon it, or just delete it since it definitely isn't my best work and I'm way too depressed to make any big changes to it. I was also intending the story to be a slowburn, so that adds on to the commitment/motivation issues I have. And I also really can't imagine America and Mexico as an actual couple, or at least it would be difficult to make them more couple-like.
I've also been thinking about migrating to Archive of Our Own.org for awhile now. So I'm sorry but in the meantime, this work is abandoned until further notice. I'll probably never finish it, but what I could do is a one shot that cuts to the part of the story actually wanted to get to, I'm usually better at writing for short stories anyhow. But after that one shot I'll probably abandon my Wattpad account and stop making ch stuff altogether. I could give you my AO3 account once I actually make one if you're really interested in following my work but don't expect me to make a Amemex continuation afterwards. I'll probably do stories on my own ocs (who are usually soft gay men).
