An avid reader since childhood, McKinley first started writing stories in 6th grade and is continuing to develop his storytelling skills through personal works and collaborations with other writers. Enjoys running, skiing, sailing, video games, and, of course, reading. Some of his favorite books include The Harry Potter Series, the Leviathan Series by Scott Westerfield, the Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson, The Ranger's Apprentice Series by John Flanagan, and an array of others. He currently attends SkyView Academy in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and is hoping to study architecture in college.
