Story time! So why is my name Salad? My actual name is Sarah, my Chinese mother has Chinese friends (of course) and they have a hard time trying to say "Sarah".
Although I have a Chinese name (杨念曾/Yang Nianceng), they insisted on trying to call me Sarah.
Their Chinese tongue gave them a hard time trying to say my name, and they eventually successfully called my "sAALaaA". After I told my friends about it, they started calling me Salad. Now my name is Salad.
