Just wondering if I should attempt joining a comics contest whose theme is - "The Last Train." The criteria is to make 5 chapters and 15-75 panels with an og storyline. I've never tried drawing a train or anything related to it but my heart saying me to join and brain saying it'll be extra workload. Please do let me know. I've a very baseless vague plot in my mind rn but I'd love to take any sort of suggestions. Also if anyone has recommendations for any famous somic creator like they've YT or something feel free to drop them here..

@_KimAes_ the colour choices I'm working with rn are questionable but hey thanks! I usually make vectors ibis paint and clip studio, with and drawing tool (curve one besides polygon line option) and lasso fill respectively. Not sure how to do them in PS and Illustrator unfortunately..
@Mr_Tara_Nath I think we all peaked during Covid and after that everything went down hill, I've seen a lot of authors leaving the platform, and it was and still is heartbreaking sometimes. Ooooohhhh, Chinese fashion, love that, if there's anything you need to know about the culture itself, I can maybe help where possible since I am Chinese ^^ I'm sure I'm still active here for sure, I'll stay active just to look around even when I'm busy, so you'll catch me by then for sure!! Ikr, it's so nice to talk to you again, all old authors seem to either have disappeared or stopped interacting, and it really breaks my heart every time, I do notice a lot of Yizhan/Zhanyi smut ff writers rising, but idk, that's not my thing it doesn't really have that much soul if you get what I mean, and not trying to shade or be mean to those authors ofc
@Mr_Tara_Nath nooo you're not only aging, it's been silent as heck, I have had the same feeling, like the interaction I used to have with my followers was so different =(( Interesting, WebToons, I adore reading them and those artist are so amazing I'm sure you'll make it if you wish to!! If you do, keep me updated cuz I'd love to see your works for sure!! And I've been doing so much better than a year ago, I've really grown as a person, as a writer as well, I do admit I like have works from a year or two ago, still unhold, but I'm working on a book I really adore, but like every chapter is 10k so yeaaahhh, have my hands full with that but I do enjoy life a lot more!! And it's really been a long time since I chatted here with you or anyone in general!!

I initially thought of publishing a new portfolio but meh, it's too much work and recently I've not improved in any way as well and currently lost interest. @-DreamingFirefly- Exactly!! We had a great time during the lockdown phase as most of the people were finding some sort of distraction from the then present issue. I've also seen so many authors and readers leaving due to life which sometimes bothers me a little but now I'm also kind of one of them so it doesn't matter much! Aww that'll be much of help then!! Can u suggest me some 1970s based novel, books or series that has the portrayal of Chinese society?? It'd be very helpful to me!! It'll be more helpful, if I get some more knowledge about Beijing opera! :) and overall how opera characters work. I did some research but more information is appreciated! Real!! But we can have our convos!! Haha totally understandable, smut or not I thrive for interesting plots, recently I've been searching for angst plots without the usual thing non con stuffs, and I may even ask for some recommendations in DM!!
@-DreamingFirefly- For Real.. Both of my accounts are so dead, to the point I've lowkey stopped interacting at all. I recall having an active interaction back in 2021.. Currently I'm working on a short story which I may adapt into webtoon, however I actually require to study a lot about Chinese fashion and society from the 1970s (it'll be based on that culture) as I'm not from that country. And I'll surely update u once I publish my webtoon (it may even take 2+ more years, but hope u will be active here by then!) That's glad to know! College is off after semester exams, so I'm kinda fooling around a bit and found out that the app is utterly silent and nothing too attractive (maybe I'm aging lmao).. It wasn't a very good idea of me to consume lobotomy related videos and infos, and some dream core (or weird core) based (or themed) videos, that one lazik scene from final destination before I dozed off while studying. I swear I woke up feeling chills (as I don't particularly recall what I was seeing in dream). I don't get scared often or sometimes but idk my media consumption isn't quite sitting right today, and over that less sleep is contributing to more of it. Please talk to me, I'm not exactly feeling comfortable. Over that under stress I was working on a horror doodling or sketch, so everything all together isn't helping at all. (I'll delete this in the morning but honestly suggest what should I do? Will I see shadows if this continues?)

It's natural to feel like that, however over-consumption of horrendous stuff might affect your mental health? so yeah, refrain from overdoing it. Fun fact, did you know those who like gore and stuff were repressed in childhood? I wasn't but I love watching those 'explore with us' crime documentaries everyday before I sleep and an episode of hannibal and yesterday I watched Midsommar...ahem. would be nice if I don't turn into Sangwoo. (lol) And watch some cute stuff, that chhippi chhippi cat or baby shark might help lmao
