So I think Wattpad might have made an oops and didn't publish half of the chapter since I looked at the page and noticed it cut off directly after the flashback conversation (might have been because of the tildes?). I republished the chapter once I noticed and it looks like it's all there now (if you see the word count at the bottom, you got the whole chapter). If you read the chapter within the first hour and a half after it came out around noon EST, it might be a good idea to check back and make sure you didn't miss anything.

Forgot about this neck of the internet for a while, strange to see the royalty au finished considering it was only at 8 or so chapters when I was last here. Hope to see more from you soon.

@TheBluePyro Yeah it has been a while, I nearly had a story finished back in January save for the last chapter, but classes started back up and have kept me busy since then; even though it's Spring Break atm, I'm still plugging away at three different assignments due next week =_=
            
            I'm hoping once the spring semester ends around the beginning of May, I can hammer out that last chapter and finally have something to post for everyone.

@Your_Shxdow So, I thought about it more and Goth being a curate (priest's apprentice) given his canon reaper background would probably make more sense; he would likely see Palette during one of their performances in the square and become smitten either through watching them or through casual interactions whenever Palette visits the church he trains at (either casually or seeking sanctuary). In a clergy role, his mixed feelings would stem from how a relationship with Palette would be seen as blasphemous for someone planning to take a vow of celibacy in the future.

@Your_Shxdow Omg, the thought of Goth pining over and antagonizing Lotus has me absolutely cackling. Though if I'm thinking about it seriously, I think a more likely scenario would be Goth being a fellow soldier alongside Rurik or something while Palette's part of the gypsy troupe Lotus is part of (since I think he would fit well in an entertainer role); while Rurik has no reservations flirting with Lotus, Goth would struggle with himself on his feelings toward Palette and how gypsies aren't what he was raised to believe they were.

            I'm hoping to have a story out within the next month or two, provided I don't get more ideas for character development and the total chapter number doesn't jump up again. It's looking like the story I'm working on will become its own book due to how long its gotten, so I'll make sure to give everyone a heads up when it comes out so no one misses it.

Le idea for le classic poth!
          
          So…Goths been captured…like CAPTURED captured to the point where Palette resorts to using magic he’s never even used before. Of course he can’t use it so he starts to panic as he doesn’t know if he can save goth, and as the story goes on…he slowly goes insane until he becomes thoroughly WICKED and swears to not to let any single good thing that’s happened to be punished, for that is his new creed…and he’ll stick to it as it’s his way of punishing people  who committed the act of taking his Goth
          
          Of course this is full angst but feel free to add your own take to it
