Hello readers and writers,

I'm Nia. I'm a Libra, and I write poetry.

I didn't come to poetry because I wanted applause.
I came because I was tired of being quiet.
Tired of holding my breath to be perfect.
Tired of making myself smaller so others felt comfortable.

I write confessional free verse about the quiet things we carry:
Anxiety. Family expectations. The way we disappear in plain sight.
Learning to stop apologizing for taking up space.
Learning to be gentle with myself, before I ask the world to be.

In many ways, I'm just writing my life as I live it.

What I've learned, and what I believe:
Rest is not something you earn.
You are not "difficult to love" - you are human, and you are worthy.
Healing doesn't move in straight lines, and neither does your value.
You, exactly as you are, are enough.

I'm currently writing, currently healing,
and slowly learning that my voice deserves to be heard.

If these words resonate with you, I'd be grateful if you'd Follow and Vote.
Thank you for spending time with my poems.

Take care, and God Bless You,
Nia 🤍
