Nicole

I am a writer, ultrarunner, single mom, and attorney. As a teen, I lived on the streets using illegal substances and quit going to school by the time I was 14. I eventually ended up traveling up the western coast of the United States hitchhiking. My first child was born when I was 17 years old. After he was born, I completed high school and my Bachelors degree in psychology by the time my second son was born. I began law school to pursue my desire to help children find their way in the world. I graduated law school in 2008. 

I have always enjoyed telling stories. Even in law school, my twenty five page papers were easy to complete if I could find a way to wrap the legal concepts into the story of a case. I also love to read. I love stories about those who rise above what life has handed them. Character's capture me when they stand for what they believe in despite it not being the majority belief and turn their weaknesses into strengths.
