All I ever see is people being like I would die or gosh gotta hide that but like it’s not that hard avoiding bad stuff. Like the worst I’ve read is something referring to one thing and then it was over like what are y’all doing-

@katiegoesmew I agree with that, stories with smut just usually are very good. I’ll read a good story and put up with the smut, but I won’t purposely try to read smut

@NoSaneHumanAllowed Yeah, I don't like reading smut. It's a moral issue for me, but purely from a literary standpoint, books that are heavy on smut are usually light on plot. They're just there for stimulation. And I want to read a story with an actual plot that has actual character development. There are stories that only have a chapter here or there of smut, and the rest is actual story, but those often feel to me like the author thinks they have to add smut to get readers. Which they don't, but I understand why they'd get that impression, since Wattpad rarely advertises stories that aren't explicit. :(

@NoSaneHumanAllowed Not just you, one of my main principles is that I do not partake in smut, don't write it, don't read it. I'm just too emotionally attached to the characters in the fics to read the smut, and if a fic has smut content I'm just like *scrolls down*
