I DO NOT ship actual people in the dsmp, I ship their personalitys (like in roleplay). For example Dream and George personalitys go together and that's why they have a great friendship. 
And yes in my opinion you shouldn't ship REAL PEOPLE. Because they are a real people and have their own feelings and love life, and you should never pressure a cc to be someone they're not attracted to in any romantic way.

If you wanted to ship someone with someone else as real people then MAKE SURE THEY'RE OK WITH IT. Yes I still disagree with it. And that's my opinion, don't like it? Leave then.

Also I would like to mention that I do not ship every ship in the books I read. For example, I read techza, no I don't ship it but the writer of the story is amazing at writing, and I absolutely love to read their books.
