Hey… I’m not dead… so I just finished spring semester and good news gents and ladies.
I’ve managed to put tons of time towards writing again and managed to meet a great editor who’s pushed me in a direction I believe you all will enjoy tenfold.
Sorry for the wait, I have no excuse for my absence and I know my words probably mean nothing at this point but I can assure you I am back to work and should be releasing two projects simultaneously

Sorry for the increasingly long delays guys college finals are coming up… again…
I haven’t had the opportunity to sit down clear my mind and get the writing mindset up and running in order to get the rewrite up and running as well
However good news on the rise is the fact I have something worth publishing for you all to read…
but I want to offer you guys a decision on that matter.
Would you rather I make the chapter longer and get more into the start of the new project or would you rather I drop what I have and consider it to be a teaser of what’s to come?
With that being said I’m very happy that you all are waiting so patiently but at the same time I don’t want to keep you all waiting too long
@UrizRead thx m8 for your input and of course for the advice, I have received other responses from others in DMs that say that they’d like a longer chapter so I plan to do that. And yeah I do, do this for free and I’m aware that I have other priorities in life but I also want to tell a good story and enjoy the experience
I would personally go for a teaser to see if the general idea sounds good.
That said please take time to remind yourself that if you write it has to be because you enjoy it; because you have an idea in your head and receive joy from the process of bringing it to life. Reflect in if it feels like something you enjoy or a chore.
If it is indeed something you like to do, just do so.
No apologies. You are bringing adventures to life for free and owe nothing to no one; writing is for you to enjoy.
No delivery dates for new chapters or expectations for your story to be a masterpiece; no nothing that may take away the enjoyment.
Write whatever you want however you want, learn in the process, make mistakes, write again, learn more, make more mistakes...
And yes ask for input if you're stuck but outside of that just experiment and be your own boss; mistakes don't exist, just happy accidents.

aight, so I've got news and a final decision... no way of sugar coating it but i am finally going to start my rewrite or edit of Hybrid's Retribution. However, two things one I'll leave it up so you guys can revisit it any time for whatever reason you like and two I'm going to finally post my second project in the meantime during the rewrite.
im a bit excited to finally start something different that i have a better threshold on and with much more writing experience than i did before so stay tuned i plan to update soon
@Obsidian-Ace Terrific, thanks for the reply! That's very good to hear and I think it's the right decission. While the story was good it did feel like everything was happening a tad too fast, at least from Hector's and Carter's groups perspectives. So cheers for going after more world building and either more or longer chapters, I think it will be well worth it ;3
@UrizRead sorry it took so long to respond to ya but to answer this question I want to focus a lot more on world building instead of just pushing out character actions and story progression. As of looking back on the original story not much is known about any of the characters aside from family relations and the roles characters play And the overall story I originally had in mind has taken a turn into a rather simple and rushed tale instead of a more complex one
@Obsidian-Ace I can’t wait to see what you change about the book in the rewrite, but I’m also excited to see what your new project will be

Finally pushed out another chapter…
I can’t say how sorry I am for for the 3 month wait you guys, college screwed me with three history classes meaning I had truck loads of reading and research I had to undergo for projects and tests
Luckily next semester won’t be as hectic and I’m hoping to get back into my monthly upload schedule so you all arn’t waiting a whole season for an update.

Update notice:
Progress is coming along decent with the fact I’ve been given a month off of college.
Of course minor irl issues still come up but rest assured I will have an update before Christmas

Another update:
There’s no excuse for my little leave of absence other than I’ve been stuck on college finals and other junk the last month and writing has been extremely sparse sometimes only getting a few words down before realizing a test was coming up
I can’t apologize nor say anything to help my case as I’m guilty as charged for keeping all of you guys on hold.
On the brighter side of things I did get around half a chapter ready over the course of thanksgiving.
but of course it’s only half.
Here’s hoping next semester goes easier without 3 history based classes and just one I need to really focus in.
I’m still working on it although it does feel like I’m making you all wait for a side project which is not my intention I promise to get an update out next month with the hopes it’s worth the wait
