My mind is reckless; My heart is in shambles. My body has been ripped open, bruised up, and torn apart. A picture tells a thousands words; everyone has their own 1,000 when they're all staring at the same thing. Think, not of a naked girl who is so for your own pleasure, but of me; Me who had a bad past. Me, a person who is not naked for your own pleasure; Me, who is just trying to escape.
My body is my own person Hell. Cast away like stones into a River at the dead of night, never to be found again. In trying to make others happy; proud of me, I have fed false illusions of the girl they wish me to be.
My body is an Ocean. Calm on the surface, inviting almost; but under that there is blood in the deep Currents. My own personal Sea Monsters of thoughts, consuming one another. I yearn; I long; I beg to be just a a small Pond. No more dark, stormy nights in my head. No more Waves of uncontrollable emotions; ripping everything on shore apart. No more Whirlpools of confusion or Life Boats sinking because of the Me you think I am; the girl you want to believe in.
I am not that girl anymore. She Drowned many years ago in the Ocean of my head. Before you is someone completely different and yet unchanged. I think, not of a naked girl who is so for the pleasure of others, but of myself. Me, who needs a reminder that my head and body will not forever be this mess. A reminder that someday, I can be a Pond instead of an Ocean. A picture is worth a thousand words, remember?
