Just curious: When you guys read Reader-Insert fics in which you go by a fake name for part of it, so you prefer that the fake name be Y/N, or the real name? Is it better, in that situation, to simply use an OC? Where is the line between that and Self-Insert?
I know a lot of people prefer when authors simply avoid the use of Y/N by never having them addressed directly, but when a double-life type thing is involved a fake name is significant so I don’t think it could flow smoothly without it.

Guys I haven’t been on here in ages. I mostly read on AO3 now, but I had a lot of notifications so I was going through a few. I always forget how nice everyone is on here and how open y’all are with each other. I may not be active often, but just know that I seriously appreciate all the kindness I see directed towards me and others. Keep being such kind humans. I know it doesn’t feel like it sometimes, but from what I see, we’re doing this “life” thing pretty well in the ways that matter. I love you guys! I’ll see you next time I open this app! (So probably in like a year or two haha)

We can finally say goodbye to 2020! Honestly good riddance lol. Here’s to next year being better.
Also guuuyyyysssss!!!! WE’RE ALMOST AT 200 FOLLOWERS!!! I literally still remember my first few followers’ @ s and how crazy it felt the first time I got a bunch of notifs saying someone had voted on a bunch of my chapters. Thanks you guys so much for your continued support. I’ll put out another post when we actually reach 200, but until then know that I appreciate every single one of you. You’re all beautiful and amazing and thank you for joining me in appreciating all the great fics authors have blessed this site with.
