I believe everyone can tell a story and everyone has a story to tell.

It is our purpose, our duty as the story tellers of our time, to guide those around us to seek greatness, to strive for good, to embrace challenge, to heal from hurt and to connect with humanity.

I am especially inspired by the many, many voices of our young authors and am grateful to WattPad for establishing a platform for the craft of story.

Story shapes our lives, our cultures, our society, history, faith, beliefs, fears, heroes and villains.

As is the natures of all art, it is the one element that separates man from animal. Man can create for the sake of beauty and destroy in the name of greed.

My hope for my fellow authors is that we understand the importance of our calling. A blessing and a burden, we writers know the elation of the perfect sentence--the one that forms itself as if the letters simply slid onto the page.

And we also experience the agony as Mark Twain put it so perfectly, "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug."

My passion is driven by you--by my fellow authors, who bare your soul and bleed your words, so that others will know your story.

In my journey as an author, I'd like to share three invaluable tips:
1. Stay active in the writing community. Join or create a writing group. Go to conferences.
2. Read books about writing. There's a tip in there for everyone.
3. Love love love what you do. Even you hate it.

I have published two books. A nonfiction narrative titled: American Wings, Iranian Roots; and a fiction book titled Harmony. If I do nothing else in my life, I know my imprint is within those pages.

I hope for each of you a blessed and inspiring journey.
