So, as of today, I'll officially be moving from Wattpad. No, I will not be deleting my account here, and some of your favourites will remain here until Wattpad dies or deletes my account.
          
          However, I will be moving some books from here to Quotev. Those books include:
          - The Wolves of the Gems
          - Dangerous Wings
          - A Guide To Dragon Breeds (updated version)
          - Reigning Chaos
          - Transformers: Battle for Earth
          
          Any new books of mine will not be posted here. And while I am leaving, that does not mean I give permission to anyone to continue, re-upload, or claim the books that are staying or leaving as your own. They are still my books.
          
          It is sad that it has come down to this, but leaving has been on my mind for a while, probably over a year. None of you have done anything wrong, in fact you've made my experience here such a memorable one, and it's why this is such a hard move.
          
          I can still be contacted either here, Discord or Quotev, so if you wish to talk, roleplay, discuss collabs, I'd be happy to speak to you.

          If you wanna still look at them, remember to snapshot what's there, as soon they will be gone. Forever.

I recently found out Wattpad was bought by the same company that owns Webtoon (a place for people to publish their comics for those who don't know). And this isn't a rare thing. If companies share the same ideals, they sometimes unite under a single one.
          
          But, there was something funny I noticed.
          
          Webtoon bought Wattpad in 2021.
          
          If I remember correctly, that is exactly when Wattpad began going downhill.
          
          And in case anyone isn't aware, Webtoon is just as awful when it comes to treating their users, on what genres get featured more, and they don't have a private messaging system.

Just a few more days before all the Private Messages are deleted.

Anyone else excited for the new series of Camp Cretaceous?

So glad users are still laying it on Wattpad about deleting the PMs.
          However, one Ambassador is just spamming people with links to a so-called 'help' link. A link which I went to, put my feedback on the situation and then got a threat to ban my account.
          
          I never thought Wattpad would turn into something similar to those bad game developers you hear all over YouTube. Wattpad was my home on the internet. Yes, past-tense. I never thought in my 11 years on Wattpad I would not call it my home.
          When things went to shit in the real world, I'd come here, find comfort in the stories, and the friendly users who helped me in some of my worst times. Now, when I see the Wattpad icon, all it sparks is hatred and hurt, all of it directed at the company.

Wattpad finally got back to me, and guess what? Still no answers.
          
          But there was a threat to ban my account for violating policies. Do they tell me which policy? No.

This removal of the PMs is utter BS!!
          There’s literally ZERO flipping answers from Wattpad Help. Wattpad itself is handling this so badly. And the Ambassadors page, ya know, the only one we can go to in order to discuss what’s happening because the Wattpad account has its conversations section turned off, are just copying and pasting responses with the ‘help’ link, which offers no solace.
          
          But guess what, it gets freaking worse. Regular users will lose all the ability to chat, but Wattpad Affiliated accounts can still PRIVATELY MESSAGE ONE ANOTHER AND REGULAR USERS!!
          
          Wattpad is meant to be a site that allows ANYONE to share their stories, give upcoming authors of all sizes a platform, allow readers and writers to interact with each other.
          
          How far they’ve fallen.
          
          They don’t give a damn about us smaller authors, they only care about the ‘authors’ that bring in the money to their platform.
          
          11 years I’ve been with Wattpad. 11 YEARS!! 11 years I’ve spent building a community, and in a matter of hours I’ve been strongly debating with myself, close tears on whether I should leave this site once and for all.

So, Wattpad is getting rid of Private Messages. WTF!!
          I honestly think if they do this, I'm leaving Wattpad for greener pastures. 
          I have made some lifelong friends because of the PM system, spoken to other authors, even talked a person out of a potential suicide.
          Getting rid of this feature is going to seriously disconnect people.
          
          If anyone knows of any potential websites or apps like Wattpad, please let me know, as I really don't know how long I'll be stilling around anymore.
