          	After a whole year studying magic with the elder magi at Castle Ire, Esmond Deadmane still has little to show for it. If he wants to bring his love back from the dead, it's time to be drastic. 
          	
          	He steals one of the three most powerful books in the library and flees toward the Whispering Wood to hide. But when a strange entity appears with great powers and offers to help, he wonders if he really has made a new friend, or if the book has brought him more trouble than its worth.

@JW_Evans Much appreciated. No rush at all. My #1 goal is just to write right now. With four little ones and a full-time job, it gets tricky to find time. I think this go around I have a better grasp of hitting my "beats" and driving the conflict through character movement--have done a lot of self study over the years when I haven't been writing--so I'd be interested in feedback on how that's playing out. Thanks again!
