I love reading, writing, and listening to music ( I can't sing to save my life). I have...interesting tastes in music, I love Skylar Grey, Paramore, Coldplay, One Republic, and a whole bunch of bands and artists I can't fit into this About Me. 

        My greatest non-academic accomplishment is jumping off the Jaws Bridge in Martha's Vineyard where they (obviously) filmed the Jaws movie, basically its a summer rite-of-passage that you just HAVE to do if you are in Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. If you look it up the height doesn't seem that scary, but if you jump off of it into the murky water below (at the time the sand underneath seemed a little bit too close) you get the feeling of utter weightlessness and helplessness. That feeling is why I jumped off the bridge 31 times IN A ROW. I'm not even exaggerating, my dad dared me to do it just once (he bribed me with candy) but I counted and that rush of adrenaline made me do it several times. To prove it, for days afterward my forearms were riddled with red spots. Those were caused by the impact of the water and me instinctively waving my arms about while jumping off. They even sold T-shirts with "I jumped off Jaws Bridge" written on them. So two days later I was wearing my T-shirt and red forearms like a medallion. I feel pretty stupid about it now, but I was so happy back then. But the thing is, I never got my candy.

        My greatest academic accomplishment is being one of the thirteen chosen out of 960 students for my persuasive essay to attend a Writer's Workshop by Doug Wilhelm. He isn't a very popular author, but he inspired me to become an author myself. I was also one of the two chosen out of 120 students for ANOTHER essay contest twice in a row. Once in 5th grade, and again in 6th grade.

Currently, I am writing an essay about what Veterans Day means to me for yet ANOTHER essay contest. This time only 2 people out of an entire school is chosen to compete against  other winners.
