"you should probably give them some background." Hayden pokes Alyce and she shakes her head.
"They want to know how we met. so that's what I'm giving them." he gasps dramatically and flops back on the chair. she just sighs and looks at him.
"you're making it seem like I broke in for no reason!" he looks at her with puppy dog eyes and she sighs. shaking her head a little
" so you would rather they know that you were a contract killer and broke in to kill me?" she says with a slight laugh in her voice, and he sits up frowning.
"well if you put it that way it seems bad..." she rolls her eyes.
"well duh! how do you want me to put it, Hayden?" she rests her arm on the chair and puts her chin in her hand looking at him intently. he frowns and shifts in his chair almost seeming to take on an entirely different personality.
"I was a kid in a rough spot doing what I had to do to survive. then I met an amazing girl who saved me and taught me what love and safety feel like." she smiles at him and he looks like a lovesick puppy.
" ok kid. so this is our story...."
