I am currently going to school to earn my degree in English and Journalism and I hope to one day make a career in publishing or editing.  I love to write fanfiction in my freetime, some are crossovers with my favorite characters getting the chance to meet or just writing what would come next in the characters life.  My goal in writing fanficition is to see if I can keep to the authors style of writing to expand my own knowledge of different writing techniques.  I also like to see if I can keep the characters as close to their true personalities as I can.  It drives me nuts when I open up a fanfiction story only to discover that the characters aren't at all like the real characters.  I also like to come up with and write my own stories, but I have yet to finish any of them, even though I have started several of them.  My favorite books consist of Pride and Prejudice, the Murray Series by Hannah Howell, the Argeneau Series by Lynsay Sands, The Ranger's Apprentice by John Flannagan, the Percy Jackson series by Rick Rordan and Eragon by Christopher Paolini.  I would like to publish at least one book in my life.
