After a billion years, I posted a new chapter for Worst Cupid Ever.

Hello Nkem. I love your retelling of Bible stories and the different perspectives you highlight. I was wondering: have you ever thought of writing a historical romance focusing on some of the love stories in the Bible?
I would love to work with you on that!

fizzy78

@fizzy78 Thank you for your candid response. I look forward to more of your stories!

@fizzy78 Hi! I'm glad you loved reading my stories.
And I'm sooooo flattered that you wish to work with me on a story. Thank you. ❤

Unfortunately, I favour a solitary writing process. Also, I find writing stories with romance as a main plot very mentally exhausting. First, it's fun, but my enthusiasm quickly fades halfway in. It's one of my biggest writing weaknesses.

I’m curious about your name. Are you Nigerian?

Precious_Nkem

@wandaislostagain That's awesome. All the best in your writing.
And thanks. Glad you love my prose.

Awesome. I’m East African myself and also writing some a Biblical mythology story, although I take a slightly different perspective. I love your prose!

A little confession: Sometimes, when the stakes get too high in a novel, comic or series, I chicken out.

Thankfully, this doesn't happen all the time, but there are always stories in my library that stare at me in judgment because I haven't grown the liver to continue reading. [Does this happen to you?]

This leaves me wondering about my writing. Do I subconsciously write low stakes because too-high stakes make me DNF?

Oh well. A new chapter of The Sixth Life of Medusa is up. I will have a new chapter of Worst Cupid Ever on Monday. Sowi that I skipped last week.

@uzomahchel I've been hanging from some stories now. If it seems like I can't take what's about to happen, I flee. Or wait for a whiiiiiiiiiile before returning to the story/series... like a coward. Smh.

@PennyPapers You understand me. These stories be giving me high blood pressure. I can't.

@Precious_Nkem I do this too. I took a break from Code Geass (anime) and The Rose Code (book) because I could tell they were about to get tragic and needed to step back a bit emotionally. I'm still on a break from Sword at Sunset (book) and another anime for the same reason.
