A B O U T
 #ProjectPenniless is a movement solo-run by @Hannah_Janine (est. May 31st, 2016) supporting writers that include characters who struggle with poverty.

Poverty is something that affects people all around the world. Weather they are homeless or has a single parent income, poverty is a real issue today that needs to be addressed in stories.

Poverty affects not only what people can afford, but also how they are treated. People in poverty can have low self esteems or feel worthless due to their lack of wealth. 

If you are writing a story about an character enduring through a financial burden take this pledge and add the hashtag #projectpenniless to your story

All stories with the hashtag will be added to a reading list, read by me, and may be featured on this account.

A huge goal of mine is to make this campaign a social and friendly place to users. I encourage people to read stories on our reading lists in order to support people who are struggling through poverty/low incomes and to support the writers who write about these tough situations.
