R.L. Merrill

I'm R.L. Merrill and I write quirky, relatable, and inclusive contemporary and paranormal romance. I'm a mom of two brilliant young adults and I love live music, horror flicks, and writing stories full of hope, love, and rock 'n' roll. My novel Hurricane Reese won the RWA NYC Kathryn Hayes "When Sparks Fly" Best Contemporary award, and I've finaled in the Foreword Indies and BookLife Prize contests with my queer romances. I've been traditionally and self-published since 2014 and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband and kids as well as rescued twin black cats Dracula and Frankenstein, my Great Dane puppy Velma, a ball python named Foo Foo Cuddlypoops, and a crested gecko named Jynx.
