Hello all, this is just a quick announcement: I'm starting to feel some minor burnout from keeping up with The Dragon Prince's Consort, so starting May 23 I'll be taking 4 weeks off to rest and get caught up. I'll be back on June 20 to finish Fang and Valen's story! 
          
          If you've been waiting for an opportunity to start or get caught up on TDPC, this would be a great time! I haven't yet dropped the story's biggest twist, so now you know something crazy is coming, heheh. 
          
          Huge, HUGE thanks to everyone who comes back each week to see what our loveable dorks are up to - this break isn't because I'm lazy, it's so that my wonderful readers will get consistently good quality writing, which I value far more than something like popularity or money. The fact that I have SO MANY notifications about my books being added to reading lists with titles like "All Time Favorites" and "Best Books on Wattpad" tells me that I'm doing this writing thing right. 

Fun how it's AAPI month and I have not one, but TWO stories about AAPI people :D
          
          I'm committed to diversity and inclusion in my books, especially women of color and LGBTQIA. It's beyond important for me to share these stories and use my platforms to lift others up, and it's my responsibility as someone born with certain privileges that are sadly related to the color of my skin, my age, and my level of education. I'm sure I'll upset some by doing so, but I'm compelled to do this and honestly I don't have a good reason NOT to do it. I have an opportunity to do some good in this world, and while I'm certain I'll make some mistakes I hope everyone who reads my stories will point me in the right direction <3 I do the best I can with the science part of science fiction, and that same effort and love goes into the human (and alien) aspects as well. Hello my wonderful readers, I'm not feeling so good today (seasonal allergies have become a sinus infection, I'm afraid. yaaay.) and while I don't THINK I'll have to miss this week's upload, I do want to let all of you lovely people know that it's a possibility. I get this every year so I know how to deal with it, but I still feel like microwaved garbage. Sorry.

Hello all! Apologies for not being so active on the message-board side of things, it's been almost a year since I started my new job and it's been wild. My mentor is about to retire and I've been taking over for her more and more, which takes a lot of mental bandwidth on top of the job itself which already has my hands full - some days I come home from work with only two and a half brain cells and my eyes burning from the computer monitors. It sounds like I'm complaining but I'm really quite happy doing what I do, and making decent money doing it.
          
          I'm doing my best to keep The Dragon Prince's Consort moving along on schedule, but I'm not going to rule out another catch-up break just yet. I want to make sure that I'm giving my best and producing quality stuff because that's just how I be and it's what you deserve. I do think that someday I'll re-write the whole thing, but that would be a project for a much bigger release like Amazon or traditional publishing. I'm thinking Amazon because I am GARBAGE at self-promotion and I couldn't sell water to a fish in the desert. Trust me, my stint in retail was short for a reason.
