Chapter 5 of Rites of Closure is written and moving into edits. Should be up in the next few days. :)

It’s possible - possible! - that I may have written a new chapter in my 2010 NaNoWriMo novel this week.
          
          It’s also possible(!) that I may have also outlined the rest of Act 2 to get all character assembled for the climax.
          
          Maybe!

          Chapter 4 is done and in edits and will be out this week.

Coming this week:
          
          Chapters 3 and 4 of Rites of Closure (for real). Chapter 3 is written and awaiting edits, and Chapter 4 will be done tomorrow (to be released on Thursday).
          
          A BRAND NEW, UNPUBLISHED story coming to Flash Forward - this is one I've had ready for awhile - a bit of post-apocalyptic, dark fantasy/sci-fi that was hard to find a home for.

Already running behind on Rites of Closure, but I'm shooting to have Chapter 3 up by the end of today.
          
          My next Flash Forward story is prepped and ready for release tomorrow, though. So watch out for it!

Starting on Monday, I will be posting content regularly on Wattpad.
          
          For years, I've been holding on to the idea that I would write a novel, go through a few rounds of edits, and start down the path of traditional publishing, i.e. submitting to agents and editors.
          
          It's been a struggle just to write at all the last few years, as I've grappled with finding the balance between a rising career, a growing family, and my own creative needs. 
          
          Even as I've been finally finding time to write again in the last few months, this laser focus on "making it" has stunted my enjoyment of the craft.
          
          I want to step back and accept that it's okay not to write for publication, and that it's okay to allow myself to share my work, however publishable I think it could be with that extra little bit of polish, with the world.
          
          I love writing, but I also love being read. Losing half that equation just isn't working.
          
          So. . . look out next week for regular updates to start hitting this account. I'll be starting by exorcising  one of my oldest creative demons - finishing a short fanfiction novel I started many years ago.
          
          From there, I hope to move on to one of my original works (maybe finishing Europa), but I'll let my muse be my guide.
