It’s been months. Feels like it’s been years.
I owe you (and when I say “you” I inherently mean my fans or silent followers) an explanation. There are no good ones that I can give you. Sometimes you just lose your edge or your will or whatever the hell it is that possesses you to write. It comes and goes with me. Sometimes there are years in which my computer is my habitual friend and I devour my keyboard with such an appetite that my friends and family are concerned with my literary habits. Then there are the off years—a time at which you seem to have found me if you’re reading this. I think it stems from the fact that I’m at a crossroads in my life. I’m graduating college this upcoming summer and I’m starting to leave my old life behind. Hopefully this doesn’t include my writing life. Regardless, I don’t think I’ll be updating “The Art of Getting Laid” any time soon. I want to finish it someday (I really do), but the older I get, the less I want to write about high school students (no offense to any of you that are high school students (or younger), but we all know that it’s more fun to write or read about characters your own age. I am no exception).
If you ever want to contact me, message me. I’ll respond—might take awhile—but I promise I will.
Someday I’ll finish this story. Can’t guarantee that, but I’m only human.
Ciao! You guys really do make this world a wonderful place—even if we’re only friends on the internet.
