Just thought I would give an update seeing how it has been a few months!
Chapter 4 is basically done being planned out, and chapter 5 has had its foundations set out as I borrowed what I wrote for it from my original story.
I have also decided to plan up to the end of Chaos vs Order (and maybe the mario fest?). Stuff that takes place between Splatoon 2 and 3 and Splatoon 3 itself will be in its own book! This way, it'll make things a little easier to plan out.
I apologise for the delay, I have been pretty busy since September, but I'll see if I can get some stuff done while I'm on break!

Hi everyone! It's been a bit, but I just wanted to announce that I've made a Discord server for the story! On there I'll be posting updates for the story, discussing some fun stuff about the story such as behind the scenes content and what not, and it'll be a nice place for everyone to hang out!

Now as for progress on the remaster, things are going great! I have to take a temporary hiatus due to being busy with College, but now I've enjoying my summer holiday for the next two months! Heck, I just finished planning out Chapter 1! It was a bit of a roadblock for a while, but I just managed to get through it two days ago, so fingers crossed chapter 2 and onwards doesn't take as long!
But anyways, thanks for checking in, and I hope to see you guys in the new server!

Hi everyone, just wanted to give a quick update!
So good news, I've finished my College course! It had been getting pretty intense over the last two months so I had to put the remaster plans on hold until the course was over.
I am currently doing some additional stuff as well that's pretty important, but I now have more time to focus on the story regardless, so I'll be continuing to make progress on it starting now!
Thank you guys for sticking with me through all of this, and hopefully I can get that remaster out in the coming months!!

What is an unpopular opinion that you have about splatoon?

@RadGamer14, I think that makes sense, some people say that is ludicrous, but humans are a resilient species, maybe some invented interstellar travel and now live on other planets, who knows, In splatoon, humans are canonically a lot more technologically advanced than the humans of today, Also, I don’t think there is an actual canon date for when anything is splatoon happens, the end of world war 5, the beginning of inklings, the great turf war, none of it, which kind of leaves it up to interpretation, You want to know what I think, I believe inklings are actually shorter than 5 feet, Here’s why, there are some human things you can stand next to that suggest that inklings are around 2-3 feet tall, for example, if you play octo expansion, go to where Tartar is before you fight him, on one of the sides of the room, there is a door that is MUCH taller than eight, not to mention the train doors that are far to tall to be made for humans if we are supposedly only 1/5 taller than inklings, meaning that if you were to scale it to actual train door to human sizes, it tells us that inklings and octolings are very short. Also, in the first Alterna area, there are stairs that further prove my point, as they are made for humans, and are far too big for inklings. Also, here is a VERY unpopular opinion that I have about splatoon, (captain cuttlefish is going to hate me for this), I don’t like calamari inkantation at all, it’s just not my kind of music, in fact, the squid sisters music in general is kind of ‘meh’ to me, not that I mind other people liking it, I just don’t like it myself. @EwanKidner Well, I believe that humans are still alive somewhere on Earth in Splatoon. We've only seen one small area of the world (Inkopolis and Splatsville are very close to each other) and we've been told repeatedly humans are extinct. But what about Europe or North/South America for example? We've seen nothing of these continents, and knowing that humans are incredibly stubborn, I believe there's AT LEAST a small group of humans somewhere on the planet. There's over 7 billion humans on the planet around the year 2015 (the years human were wiped in Splatoon I believe), and we've been shown there's cryopod technology with the sunken scrolls, so some humans must have made it. People thinks it ludicrous, but I think it's very much possible.

Hello, I am new to you story, and I’ll be honest, you have done quite well in my opinion, I think you are a talented writer,
In your story, I thought things like character development and interactions were pretty good, such as Dan interesting the squid sisters by mentioning that he also used to make music.
I heard you are remastering it, so if you would like, I have a few suggestions,
One thing that I wasn’t keen on in the beginning, is how evil the octarians were portrayed, especially Octavio,
Octarians are not evil, they are just the enemies of inklings, due to the war, and them holding a grudge, sure some things they do are questionable, but it is shown that even defectors like agent 8 still respect Octavio,
If you look at what they do, you will see this, they only stole the zap fish because they needed it, and it is not mentioned that they killed anyone to get it, along with only going after Callie due to her being one of the splatoon’s members, who are their enemies, and the only reason that Octavio came in splatoon 3 was because he thought that Cuttlefish stole his octarians.
But humans have not wronged the octarians, so they wouldn’t target him.
While you don’t have to, if you like, you can use some of my ideas,
For example, instead of octarians being evil, you could just show them as being more like serious rivals to the inklings.
Also quick thing, when Dan was with the octarians, the hypnoshades shouldn’t work on him, with inklings, they are obviously very susceptible to things like music influencing them, and music is just sound waves, showing that they are capable of being influenced by things like signals and waves, so controlling them makes sense, but humans don’t work like that, our brains can’t be hijacked by visual patterns, music, or signals being sent, as unlike inklings, our brains don’t react to them like that,
I think you could write it so that maybe Dan just woke up separated from Daisy, and the octarians convince him to help them.

@RadGamer14 , I’m happy that you are open to feedback, some people can take it the wrong way, and think that me pointing out something in their stories is the same as me saying that they are garbage, which it isn’t, so I would also like to thank you for being open minded to feedback. If you want help with where the story is at, maybe have mr Grizz kidnap Dan instead, as he would want him for being another mammal.
