My father instilled a love for reading in me from a very young age. One of my favorite things to do with him growing up was to go to the library. As I grew older I began to write my own stories. I never finished any of them, I was always afraid to write the end. An end is so final.

It took me several years to complete my debut novel Phoenix Ashes. Spurred by the controversial 2017 election and current events. I convinced myself to finally write the end. The end has always been kicking around in my head since the very first day I began to write this story.

Words are always rolling around in my mind. The characters hold conversations, it's as if I merely spectate and write down their story. Strangely enough I'm mind blind. A bizarre condition called Aphantasia makes it so all my thoughts, and memories are merely words. I cannot close my eyes and picture myself in some far away place. Everything is simply black. Everything I've ever seen and ever known is stored as words and descriptions in my mind. Perhaps this is what drove me to write in the first place.

When I'm not writing I'm working as a custom framer. I also enjoy spending time gaming, attending local events, and spending time with my friends and pets. Japanese culture and media is another passion in my life.
