To anyone keeping up with my updates on Forest of Rope I just thought I'd fill you in on the current situation writing-wise. First of all, thank you so much for actually taking the time to read it. It means a lot to me and it really motivates me to continue.

Now. Over the past few weeks, it has recently come to mind that my novel has a fair few flaws. As it stands, the story is remarkably undetailed and the characters in serious requirement of more setup and personality in order to make the reader care more about them and their relationship. I understand that many of the characters' motivations are frequently puzzling or sometimes downright ridiculous. And there is also the matter of the unremittingly bleak tone that non-waveringly dominates the majority of the book.

I've spent the past few weeks deliberating over these issues and about which course of action is best to take. I have thus decided to finish the story at all costs despite all weaknesses. I am readily open to any suggestions from anyone. These can be about the current structure of the novel, which areas stand out above others or even about subtle differences (or lack of thereof) in character, setting, tone/atmosphere etc.

As time steadily plods on I will be combating my various other commitments while still trying to find time and creative drive to write. Therefore I apologise in advance for any subsequent chapters which are found to be below-par in quality. My ultimate goal here is to finish the rotten thing. Only then can I efficiently proofread and edit it with the help of your suggestions.

Thanks for reading. Expect chapter 26 pretty soon and apologies for the delay.

Greetings followers! Apologies for the dreadful delay in Forest of Rope. I'm at a difficult area of the story at the moment and it is becoming increasingly difficult to write. I'm doing my best despite the occasional block and should have more content uploaded soon. Many thanks to those who continue to follow the story and welcome to any new readers! Your support and feedback is greatly appreciated.

          Check out chapter 24! :)
