I'm thinking of starting something new, any suggestions?

It has been a long time and I know I haven't posted anything new. I've been working a lot, plus I've got a family to take care of, but I haven't been totally idle! For the past several years I've been competing in the Seattle Crypticon writing contest and winning!! Most notably a couple years ago I took first place. My stories were published by Blysster Press in their Crypticon Anthologies. One of the most exciting things about taking first place was that the prize included a $500 editing package and a contract to publish a full length novel. Flash forward to now and Fisherman's Niece has come a long way from the version you can read here online and I've even started on a sequel, but for right now I'm focusing on the final edits before I can send it off to my publisher! I'll make sure to keep anyone who is interested up to date on the progress. I may even publish some of my Crypticon stories here, I just have to check on my rights to do so. Thank you all for your continued support of my story, the votes and comments mean the world to me!

I just wanted to let you know that your story "The Fisherman's Niece" has always held a special place in my heart. It was the first story on Wattpad that I ever read and I loved every minute of it. (It's also kinda neat that your main character's name is close to my own).

I love it so much and you are such a fabulous writer. I wish you would post more of your work here. :)

@smurfrielle I haven't been on here in forever! Was reading some of the comments I've had and I wanted to thank you for yours. I really appreciate it! I've had a few short stories published and I've been working on editing The Fisherman's Niece for publication. That and my family and day job have been keeping me busy. I'm working on some new stuff for my publisher now, and I think I posted a link to my facebook page where I do keep a little more current!

Love "The FIsherman's Niece"! It was one of the first books I read when I joined Wattpad.

Also thought I'd just put it out there that her name is so close to mine (I'm Murielle, so pretty close!)

          Anyways, I love it.

I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for reading :) You're right that the names are similar, in fact, Meriel is one of the versions of the name Murielle and they both mean "shining sea" or something like that.

Thanks again and great name, I obviously love it!

your Fisherman's Niece is awesome. I usually get bored on reading stories on your language ( english). Im a Pilipina so im more on the Tagalog ones. BUT cant believe i got to finish it just for 2 days. None stop reading!instead of getting bored of it!. THUMBS UP!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for saying so. :) I'm currently working on an edited version that I'm hoping to publish, and hopefully it will be as much of a page turner as the original.
