I cannot stand when writers on here ask for votes on their book as payment for anything, or a simple vote for vote— follow for follow type of thing.
Like, doesn’t it beat the authenticity of your book? Don’t you want readers to vote on chapters merely because they like them personally?
It’s an opinion of mine, but asking for votes takes away the feeling of wanting to write simply because you love to, not for fame or number statistics. That’s why most writers find it hard to stay motivated to finish a book— they’re writing for the wrong reasons.
@RykerCore Same. My books aren't as popular and I try to do my own thing and not focus on the views and votes.
@Blue101Art @NavyCamber Yeah, I agree with you guys, which is why I always try to remember the reason I began writing in the first place. <33 Votes and reads don’t determine if we’re great writers. Sometimes we need a place to use as a creative outlet.
I’ve never asked for votes or reads, but sometimes my mind will equate low votes/reads to a poor quality story. Makes me doubt myself and my abilities and it’s the most toxic thing about sites like this lol

Writer’s Thought • Has anyone else done this?
For some odd reason, I feel like certain events in my book just didn't come out the way I wanted them to. I'm debating between remapping out specific chapters or leaving it be and seeing if I can work around them.
There's just certain moments that aren't making sense in my brain cells— so, I may redo my book entirely after I pinpoint the exact chapter that makes my stomach does that “eh could have been better” feeling.
@Drem_3120 No I truly appreciate your advice love! It means a lot to me. I do think I might unpublish certain chapters to do some refurbishing!
@RykerCore My teacher who was giving us advice for writing a better story once said that you should try to make your story better until you are fully satisfied with it . Read your book with the view of a reader , if you think that there's something that is missing you can add it up . And yeah , sorry if I have said something wrong , i don't really have much experience in writing field but this is what I think .
