Dr. SShadden

I grew up in a small East Tennessee town. Since graduating high school I have completed my Bachelors degree at Tennessee Tech University in Elementary Education, as well as,  a Masters degree in Instructional Leadership and Supervision which I completed in May 2007.  I completed my doctorate degree in Educational Leadership with a K-12 focus at Argosy University. I am a teacher with the Cumberland County School System in my 14th year of teaching. I have been honored as a fellow of the Upper Cumberland Writing Project Summer Institute 2016 to realize the significance of developing a passion for creating creative writing, as well as, young writers.  I will be publishing my own attempts at creative writing, as well as, using as a platform to read students' works. 

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.  In the words of Ben Franklin, "Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing."
