Addressing the Orlando shooting--
My heart goes out to everyone in the LGBTQ+ community. It saddens me that people would be targeted like this, and that so many people have died. 103 people were shot or harmed, and at least fifty people were killed. Sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, they were all lives that were taken away. So many people have lost their families, their friends, their significant others, because of one radical person's choice. People died, but already I am seeing things saying,
"That's what they deserve for being gay."
"Shouldn't have been gay."
"gays go to hell anyways."
Excuse my language, but what the absolute fuck is wrong with you? How DARE you say someone deserves to die? To lose their lives? Do you have any FUCKING idea how many families were affected? They were PEOPLE, not animals, not anything else, they were one of our own species and you think that they deserved to die? You think because they were born LGBTQ+ that they deserve to be murdered? Slaughtered? Three hours, hostages were held, fearing for their LIVES. Their LIVES. Mothers and fathers are now missing their sons and daughters. Children are now missing parents. I sincerely hope you rethink your life if you believe these people deserved to die.
