Hi, Followers!

Thank you for coming along for the ride as I post these novels and novellas. I am humbled by your interest in my work.

As we're just getting to know one another, I wanted to give you a little background on these stories that are part of "The Road to Ever After" series.

I actually wrote the first novel more than ten years ago. A little girl I used to babysit was growing up and no longer really needed me to be her sitter, but we wanted to maintain our friendship. So, I decided to write her a fairy tale. Every Sunday after church, we'd sit down in a pew and read the latest chapter together. She was the best editor in the world because every week she expected the next part of the story; I HAD to write every week!

Well, over many weeks, the first novel, what was then called Adeline's Adventure, finally came to an end. So, what then? Well, the next novel, of course!

We completed Book Two and started Book Three, but then...well, life happened. I got married (she was one of my bridesmaids), started teaching full time and, eventually, moved away. My little pal and I stayed close across distance, but the fairy tales got forgotten.

Then, COVID struck. I wanted to contribute something creative to my friends and family, some little encouragement or distraction. I started reading a chapter of these novels every night on Facebook Live. It built a tiny community and gave me a reason to edit the first drafts of Books One and Two. I got so entrapped back in my Fairy Tale world, I wrote a novella to follow Book Two, finally finished Book Three, and rounded it out with a novella to follow the final book!

Anywho, that's the story behind the story. I hope you enjoy these characters and their magical realm. It's my pleasure bringing them to you, as well as to that little girl I used to babysit...now in college, but still one of my dear friends. These books have had quite a life and I'm glad they picked me to be their creator.

If you found yourself in a fairy tale, would you be the hero/heroine or the villain?
