Velkomin, Vinr. 

I am Eirik Østergaard, grandfather and silent guardian of your modern Nordics. My pride in their unrelenting perseverance in the face of centuries of resistance is insurmountable, my awe of their accomplishments twenty-fold that.

Even though I have long made my dwelling beyond the realm of the living, I watch over them still, and pray only that they may continue to exhibit the perseverance I have thus far observed, and that they may prosper for many years to come.

❛ I do find Sœnskr's infatuation with the trading post he calls IKEA a little unsettling. He has grown into a respectable man, however. One who I would be honored to go out and have a drink with. ❜

❛ Noregi is perhaps the easiest of my grandchildren to get along with, but the most difficult to understand. He is, and always has been, a man of few words, but his intelligence is beyond that which even I can imagine. He is brilliant, and it shows in how he manages to keep even Danmǫrk in check. ❜

❛ Precious, young Ísland. Our time together was that of brevity, cut short by the events marking my dissolution. I have been lucky enough to study the man into which he has grown, and to know that he was brought up by the children who I raised? Pride would be a grotesque understatement. ❜

❛ Finnland. An intriguing one, he is. Although he bears the least of my blood, I must admit that I have grown to admire him as much as my other grandchildren. I find his optimism and simplicity respectable, and assume that his underlying strength is a result of our shared blood.  ❜

❛ Danmǫrk? The filTHY LITTLE SHIT. HE CAN'T KEEP HIS FORSAKEN MOUTH SHUT FOR MORE TH- Ahem. Apologies. Emotions often get the better of me when it comes to my grandchildren... Danmǫrk is... a sunbeam on a cloudy day. Unpredictable, though not necessarily unwelcome. ❜
