Ideas for OC series and a general pitch for them

Castlevania – Using the anime, you would follow the story of Asher, the older brother to the courageous Lisa, who would be drawn into Dracula’s web where he would see a side of Dracula he thought impossible. As Asher views the growing relationship between Dracula and Lisa unfold, his preconceptions about the vampire lord begin to waver as his admiration for Dracula’s growing humanity grows. However, this care for Lisa makes Asher one of Dracula’s loyal generals.

Throughout the series, his relationships with the show’s characters evolve and shape his path from those with the cunning Carmilla, who tests his allegiance, to his bonds with Dracula’s other human generals, Hector and Isaac. As the series progresses, Asher’s purpose becomes twofold; to serve Dracula and to seek redemption for his past. The main focus for the series explores the human spirit and the struggle between light and darkness.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex – Readers would follow the character of Ren Takahashi, Section 9’s newest recruit. A skilled police officer with an eye for detail, readers will follow Ren as a non-cybernetically enhanced in a world where human-machine integration is the norm. Ren’s unique perspective and abilities make him a unique and invaluable asset to Section 9, as he brings a fresh perspective to the team and confronts moral dilemmas that arise in a technologically advanced society.

Alongside iconic characters such as Major Motoko Kusanagi and Batou, Ren forges unbreakable bonds as he delves into the mysteries of cybercrime and conspiracies. The narrative explores themes of identity, consciousness, and the impact of technology on society, explaining what it means to be human in a world where man and machine blur.

Sorry for completely ghosting you all in April. I thought I had posted a journal for that month, but I checked, and it seemed like it didn’t. Ah, well, nothing happened, so maybe it was a sign. As of writing this, I have graduated from college, so I should theoretically have more time to write. I’ll see if I can’t find a job that allows me to write while I’m there; I’m thinking of a librarian at my local community college, but who knows? First time adulting now.

In terms of writing, I posted the Lightning one-shot yesterday or two days before since it is now midnight when I am writing this. Regarding progress on reader insert series like FF14 and Persona 5, I will put those on the back burner for now. I’m feeling quite pooped out when it comes to writing them. I might go back to them occasionally to put in the odd word or two, but I’m pooped out.
I am working on a couple of OC x Canon or simply inserting an OC into the series. It’s not far from what I do for the reader inserts, as the character is an OC anyway. Hopefully, you all will read some of them.

Expected series for more one-shot ideas

Fire Emblem Three Houses – Got a couple of ideas after listening to support conversations while doing homework. Got a couple of ideas for people in mind, but don’t mind taking suggestions from you all. Here are the characters I have ideas for already; Manuela, Bernadetta, Dorothea, Lysithea, and Ingrid.

Samurai Warriors/Nioh/Sengoku Basara – They all fall under the same umbrella of Japanese historical fiction. I might end up blending all of these character incarnations as one for much easier reading or specify it if a specific element from those games appear. Same as FE3H, anyone you want to see, let me know, but here’s who I got in mind already; Oichi, Okuni, Aya, and Lady Hayakawa.

Sorry for the late update, but this was originally planned to be uploaded March 2nd-3rd to give a couple extra days for February being a short month. It's posted late due to needing some time to study for midterms. Now that I'm on spring break, I can finally post this.

Not much has changed in terms of writing projects since the last update, other than narrowing the specifics on some of the more broader ideas.

          Nearly finished
Lightning (FF13) x Reader one-shot: I remember someone commenting if it was with Canon!Lightning or if it was an AU. It is canon, but takes place before 13 and ends during the beginning of 13, if that makes sense.

          Progress updates
FFXIV series: I decided to keep Ifrit's fight short. While he is the first "Trial" in that game, its lackluster if you look up the normal version of "Bowl of Embers" on YT and that's what I'm basing it off of.

Not that much of an update since I had other things on the mind.

@ScarletCavaliere Ooh, a Lightning x Male Reader series. That would be so cool to read. Well, it's fine that you're not yet playing FFXIII-2 and FFXIII before you write the stories based on them. So take your time with that. I'm still waiting patiently for the stories since I've been doing that for more or less than a year already. ;-)

@PAngel135 Maybe. I've thought about doing an entire series with just base 13 for now (mainly because I've yet to play 13-2 to refresh my memory and I haven't even touched LR to know its story). I have sparce details even then with the reader character.

@ScarletCavaliere So your Lightning x Male Reader one-shot will be right before the start of FFXIII after the beginning of it, huh? Interesting. :-o

Will you make a sequel after that? I'm just curious because I rarely find Lightning male reader stories on WP. And also DA since I've looked a few months ago.

Series I’m thinking about

Dynasty Warriors one-shots: I remembered getting a request for Diaochan long ago and have gotten back into the Musou games. I’ll probably disregard who is married to whom since it would be a pain to write “ignoring x is married to y” every time.

SAO x Reader: I polled this a long time ago. There would be three significant changes from what I remember (going to say this right now: one of those changes would be for Alfheim. If you watched it before, you might have a good guess as to what is being changed. If not, its better you don’t know). I slightly changed how the game of SAO works but nothing too radical like whatever I proposed in that journal post.

FF7 x OC: I thought about branching off and writing an OC series rather than an X Reader. I might dip my toes and see if there’s an audience for it.

@Mightyboyrunner You aren't bothering me. Your opinions on SAO and Dynasty Warriors are very much fair.

Never realized there were extensions that did that. Might look into it a bit more.

Give writing a shot. Everyone was terrible when they start out. It's really a hobby where you can only improve (should you take the criticism) as you keep writing and eventually find your style and audience.

Stuff I’m working on

Persona 5 series: Currently finished writing the intro to Tsukuyomi’s Palace. I decided to split it into three parts; set up to his Palace and the Hawaii trip, the Phantom Thieves exploring his Palace, and taking his Treasure.

FFXIV series: I ran into a roadblock when writing the Ifrit fight. Mainly because it’s a bit hard to translate his mechanics from the game into text, and even then, it’s boring. A friend suggested I use Ifrit from FFXV to help spice things up.

One shot with Lightning (FF13): I originally planned to upload this before the start of the new year, but oh well. Figured I would do a one-shot to get me back into writing since there’s somehow less pressure for me, at least, since I don’t have to care about word count as much as with a series.

ScarletCavaliere

@Mightyboyrunner Oh, my bad. Tsukuyomi is the codename I bestowed upon you, the reader.

The reason I might use another Ifrit for FF14's Ifrit is because Ifrit, at the point you first fight him in the story of 14, does claw swipe, fire breath, and Hellfire. If anything, I might include a move where he does duplicate himself and they charge, but that's about it.

Another year, another reminder that I’m not dead/retired.

I meant to post this within the first week of January, but I know that wouldn’t happen, so now it’s getting posted in mid-January. Sorry for not being active and being able to post stuff last semester (Late August – Early December) was kicking my ass with assignments and classes, leaving me very much unmotivated to write anything due to stress. If I made New Year’s Resolutions, one of those goals would be to keep all of you at least informed on what’s happening. Will it be every week? Probably not, maybe at the end of every month.

What those updates would look like is something I’ve written about, or if I can’t write within that month, why I was unable to. This also would be an opportunity to curb my mind filled with ideas of series I want to write x readers for. That way, I can gauge your interest and see if it’s worth pursuing. It won’t just be “how would you all feel about a [insert series] x reader series?” but I’ll try to come up with a small synopsis or basic idea of what that series would be about.

I’d have to split this into three posts because Wattpad is dumb. 2000-character limit? Not enough for my verbose ass. For the future, it’ll be split into two posts; one focused on what I’m working on and one for ideas in my head (if applicable).

@ScarletCavaliere Hope you had a good break and welcome back.
