snippet from the next chapter bc im so impatient to share the upcoming arc w you guys:

" What I first noticed about the boys in the low lighting of the kitchens was their outfits. It was almost comical how closely Neo's outfit matched Lesedi's. He had his own dark blue gown and the same color bonnet that protected his locs. Rather than bunnies covering his feet he had sonic slippers. I had to hide my smile behind my hand when I noticed the eyes would blink with each step he took.

It didn't take long for my eyes to drift to Grey-Eyes as he leaned against a counter and rolled his eyes at his friend's words. A baggy shirt draped his torso but the short sleeves did nothing to hide his biceps. I noticed the veins that trickled down to his wrists before I forced myself to
look away. His shirt matched his plaid pyjama bottoms and fluffy slippers. I was surprised to see they matched Neo's.

          Cute. "

its so hard to find poetry i like like gosh darn,, im so picky and it doesnt help thats theres such a plethora of religious (christianity from non christians) imagery that falls flat due to lack of understanding/ familiarity of what a relationship w God is actually like. it’s like reading a instruction manual on how to put together a chair from its parts, but the writer is only someone who lives across the street from someone who hand-makes furniture and speaks only on the splinters and scrapes that the handyman recieves

@Selveyet renter it expeditiously. I will honestly read anything you write

you speak of splinters but leave out the intimacy of carving, you speak of split skin but leave out who is holding the knife
