lowkey hate generat1ve a1 l1ke BADLY for so many d1fferent reasons that 1 could l1st, 1ncludes any a1 art th1ngs l1ke c.a1 chatgpt all that stuff any app that allows you to chat to a1 bots and 1ve thought th1s way for a good wh1le now, ma1nly becuase 1ts TERR1BLE for the env1roment and you can fact check me on th1s but for one, 1t uses up a sh1t ton of water, and 1 mean a lot, way more than anyth1ng else, 1t does th1s because a1 centers l1ke where they keep the servers overheat a LOT so what do they have to do? they use water clean fresh water to cool 1t down, leav1ng e1ther d1rty water, or l1ttle to no water for anyone else around that area, leav1ng mult1ple homes barely able to funct1on w1th a lack of water, one sentence generat1on uses up a LOT of water, let alone a whole 1mage or an1mat1on, 1ts also uses up a lot of carbon wh1ch 1s a bad th1ng, why? because s1mply, 1t burns and ru1ns a1r qual1ty, bas1cally pollut1on, oh but "other th1ngs do that too!!" yea well these a1 servers do 1t a LOT more than just a s1mple veh1cle because of how much people use a1 generat1on, some people can excuse 1t by say1ng "one person wont make a d1fference" except 1n th1s scenar1o, 1t does, one prompt uses 2 l1ters per sentence wh1ch 1s just for process1ng, and 1ts double for the actual response, thats 6 l1ters (1.5 gallons roughly the s1ze of a water bottle for one sentence), wasted, just by cool1ng down these a1 servers that could be go1ng to people who NEED them, 1t gets STOLEN from houses that NEED them and thats just for one person, 1f you stopped us1ng c.a1 and stuff l1ke that f1nd other solut1ons, 1t could make a d1fference, so god, stop us1ng generat1ve a1 theres SO many d1fferent alternat1ves, along w1th that espec1ally for a1 art 1t str1ps away at your creat1vty yet mostly 1ts terr1ble for the a1 and 1ts best to stop us1ng a1 as a whole another th1ng 1s that 1t 1s sc1ent1f1cally proven that c.a1 and any other a1 chat bot 1s proven to be bad for your mental health
