We are revamping our reading lists! To help us facilitate that, we will be closing our story submission forms for a short while as we set up our new lists. As soon as those forms are open again for story submissions we will let you know. We will also notify you when our guidebook has been updated with our new reading list submission guidelines.
The purpose of the revamp is to enable us to build an extensive library that will allow readers to fully immerse themselves in all that the Short-story genre has to offer here on Wattpad, and showcase even more amazing writers and their stories.

What is your favorite book and why?

@ShortStory Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir is one of my all-time favorites. It's a queer sci-fi murder mystery that manages to be hilarious while still being touching, interesting, and absolutely terrifying. it's so much fun to reread (and you will probably need to reread in order to understand everything, lol) and see all the little hints scattered throughout the book. Can't recommend it enough.
@ShortStory Right now it might be A Clockwork Orange, just because I could literally sit and think about it for hours. The way it’s written makes it such an engrossing read and the Russified slang in it just takes it to another level of awesomeness. It’s gorgeousness and gorgeosity made flesh
@ShortStory My favorite book is The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. Reading it took me to a time where the rough life between the rich and poor clashed; not that doesn't happen in modern days too. LOL! But imagining how life was back in the 60's with soc hops, girls in long floppy skirts, guys with greasy hair looking like "Fonzi" from the show Happy Days" might have been a blast. Have the book and seen the original movie. Heard that Hollywood was gonna do a new version but I'm not a fan of remakes... Hollywood always changes a scene, plot or character.
