I am bent, but not broken. I am scarred, but not disfigured. I am sad, but not hopeless. I am tired, but not powerless. I am angry, but not bitter. I am depressed, but not giving up.

She reads books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live.

That's the thing about books. They let you travel the world without moving.

People who have never dealt with depression think it's just being sad or being in a bad mood. That's not what depression is for me; it's falling into a state of greyness and numbness.

A reader lives a thousand lives before they die.

Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination, and the journey. They are home.

I am who I am today, with all my faults. Tomorrow I might be a tiny bit wiser, and that's me, too. These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I was, who I am, and who I hope to become.

No one is born ugly, we're just born in a judgemental society.

The only time you should ever look back, is to see how far you've come.

Don't be trapped in someone else's dream.
