I don't usually post on here but during this particular climate, I feel that it's wrong not to.
As an oppressed group, Black people are mentally, physically and emotionally drained from just proving our right to live and enjoy life. We aren't asking for favours, we are demanding the bare minimum, basic human rights without having to walk on eggshells and scale down our blackness to please others.
George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and many others have become martyrs they didn't ask to be all because they are black. Our worth is valuable and we must no give in to the racial trauma that keeps us in an inferior position.
The cycle must stop and be completely broken for a real change to happen and police brutality is the tip of the complex iceberg that is racism.
Black lives matter past, present and future. As always, stay blessed and be sure to take a break from social media to mentally recuperate.
