"For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you." (Walt Whitman)

My name is Tanei Williams and I currently attend Cooperative Arts and Humanities Magnet High School in New Haven, CT. Growing up in a house full of four, I was always taught love an respect in a household. There was aways witnesses of control, abuse, and power and I often tried to run away from these things. I always acknowledge the roots of pain and love and take control of it in my life. I am a seventeen year old senior preparing myself to enter the world of change and dreams. My focus is Creative Writing in which I have experienced different formats, structures, and styles or writing during my four years. I take everything I learn and try to apply it to my life in everyway as possible, so taking up a writing course helps me with songrwriting. I generally focus on music and the entertainment industry and have performed in many places such as schools and public sitings. I currently plan on taking a year off after school ends and earn a job to save up for college fees. In the year 2013, I will be attending Columbia College in Chicago with an automatic admission of getting in. I applied for the 2012 Fall year and got accepted but I had to extend my time due to fianiacial obstacles.
My love for music started my freshmen year of high school just fooling around with friends from time to time and adapting to the culture itself. It took me a while for me to accept myself as a artist because I would constantly compare myself to known female artists and tell myself I didnt want to be like them instead of making my own identity. Many people say pushing yourself to be captured in your art like dance or music as a future goal attaches no security. I don't agree. I believe you can be anything you want to be, everything is possible. So if you want to a "Ninja", go DO IT. JUST DO IT. There is no stopping. I hope to accomplish many great things in my future.
