Talking about myself has never been my strong suit as I often prefer to let my voice be echoed through that of the characters I develop, but I'll try to give you insight into who I am as a writer and a human being the best I can. My name is Joel Christopher Rodriguez. I'm a Latino, Portland based science fiction and fantasy author who has been experimenting with creative writing since I was fifteen years old. Everything I know has been self-taught, and my school records can back that up. Regardless, I've spent the last ten years honing the writing skills I possess to create the best characters, worlds, and narratives I possibly can.
