Hi all!

A quick update from me - I'm now 30000 words deep into my next book, and having put Gehiwian Circle away for a while I'm now ready to go back into editing it with fresh eyes. Expect releases of chapters for this to begin again in the coming months!

After many delays, three scrapped chapters and scrapping two thirds of the planned ending, I finally have a full draft of The Tales of Gehiwian Circle! It's safe to say that's the last time I try 'pantsing' a story idea, writing it as I go without a full plan. That was a lot less satisfying than my meticulous plotting of a full book from back to front, timeline, chapters, character arcs and all!

Gehiwian Circle is coming in at about as long as The Island's Swansong, and the first third is currently published. Now I just need to whip it all into something consistent and satisfying for release!

My next story, however, is exciting me more now I've left that idea to stew for several years. It'll be a historical horror/thriller (linear and planned), the train equivalent of Snakes On A Plane set in the late 1930s. Watch this space!

@TheKnightTrain Thanks so much for updating us! Can't wait for more Gehiwian Circle, and this 1930s story sounds really cool!

Hello!
I am a huge fan of Swansong, and I had a question. Would there ever be a chance of getting it in an audiobook format? I was just wondering, curious if you would do it. I'd do it myself, but I don't want to do it without permission from you. And if it would be posted, I'd hope you would make the monetary gain rather than me. Again, I absolutely adore reading the story, and I'm getting ready to start reading your new work. I just would love to have Swansong as an audiobook.
          Thank you for your time.

Happy New Year all!

Lots of writing planned for this year! Two more chapters and the climax of The Tales of Gehiwian Circle to write then it'll be back to editing the rest for release! With a bit of luck I'll be able to get my next train novel, working title 'Hellbound', written, edited and released this year too!

Hope everyone's reading/writing projects prove fruitful and enjoyable this coming year!

@TheKnightTrain Sounds exciting! Can't wait to see it all!

Hi all,

I'm going to be taking some time to write the rest of Gehiwian Circles properly so that I can post frequently and conducively with the algorithm to give it the best chance possible of reaching an interested audience. I won't be posting any new chapters for a while but I've already got several new chapters drafted. There's at least another 14 chapters to go for the story so things are just getting started!

I'm also reviving an old railway thriller/horror novel idea for the platform as well and writing that from scratch, so next year is going to be packed with lots of chapter releases!

In the meantime, please keep commenting and sharing on the chapters I've released so far.

          Thank you!

@TheKnightTrain 14 more chapters and another story in the works? Next year's gonna be great! Take all the time you need to pull things together.

Hi all!

I'm curious that The Tales of Gehiwian Circle hasn't gained the same kind of traction that The Island's Swansong did. Besides not being linked to an established franchise, are there any other aspects of the new story that aren't resonating, such as the anthology style or settings? I'm eager to know for future projects/installments.

TheKnightTrain

@DatMudkipProductions that's very true, I've just been posting what I can where I can when I have chapters finished instead of having several on the go ready for release with TIS. I've not been playing to the algorithm's hand the same way.

@TheKnightTrain
I did notice in my very early Wattpad days that TIS was being regularly recommended to me. Perhaps the algorithm isn't picking it up?

All I know for certain is that I am throughly enjoying it as is.

@TheKnightTrain I feel like it honestly doesn’t have the same feel as Swansong, like, it doesn’t really have a reason for readers to be coming back

Hi all (again)!

I am still here, but been pre-occupied with buying my first house this year, starting a new job, moving, renovating and all the other fun, so writing has had to go on the backburner. Somehow in that time I have amassed another 100 followers, so thanks/welcome to everyone. The Island's Swansong has now ballooned to over 140k reads which is insane!

However, now I am finally in a place to organise it again and continue building out my stories on here. The Tales of Gehiwian Circle anthology will be finished, and I'm going to begin editing two more of my older books with the hopes of releasing them publicly for the first time (provided they aren't cringier than I remember).

Lots to come, so stay tuned!

@Travistheclassfourty Hi, no the main character is not available for use, nor are any of the original characters created for The Island's Swansong.

Hi! Not sure if you still use this account but here goes.
I'm a HUGE fan of your stories and I wondering if The Island's Swansong is open for remakes, audio stories, and stuff like that! I hope it's a yes but i understand if it is not! Have a good rest of Day/Night/whenever you see this!

TheKnightTrain

@Jtube90 Hi, The Island's Swansong is not available for adaptation. Thanks for asking though!

Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still here, and absolutely astounded that 'The Island's Swansong has now passed 120k reads, and that I've now got over 200 followers!

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly to do with this profile, given TIS' popularity has far exceeded what I expected. I am beginning on a series of short stories/anthology collection of tales surrounding a haunted railway with more of a horror vibe, so may begin publishing these shortly.

I also have a fully edited political eco-thriller I began querying with agents in January, but given it is heavily focused near regions with the heaviest fighting in the Ukraine War and uses Russia as an antagonist, no agents want to touch it. I am contemplating releasing it on here instead, acknowledging what has happened since it was written during lockdown in 2020, but it will be Mature rated due to it dealing with heavy themes including self-harm, violence, terrorism and racism. Given the current trajectory of the world I think it is a story worth telling, I'm just trying to find the right method to share it.

Hopefully there'll be some more updates from me soon!
