In six months, I’ve seen, learnt, unlearnt and heard things I’ll never forget.
          
          I will never forget how women and “feminists” across the globe wished each other happy International Women's Day yet failed to stand up and stand with the women in Palestine, Congo & Sudan, where R!&SA is used as a tool of colonialism and genocide. 
          
          I will never forget how women posted infographics depicting the various types of mothers, wishing them happy Mother’s Day while ignoring the mothers and mothers-to-be and their begs for food, water and milk for their children.
          
          I will never forget my friend's cousin detailing how she had to listen to her friend take her last breaths on the phone because she was too deep, trapped under the rubble of her home in Gaza, and no one could find her. 
          
          I will never forget how the world celebrated black history month yet ignored the black lives in Congo and Sudan. 
          
          The world will celebrate Father’s Day (and other stupid days created in the name of capitalism) while not challenging and actively feeding into the dehumanisation of fathers and men in Gaza and Palestinians all over the world. 
          
          On this odd night in the last ten days of Ramadan I ask that you don’t forget our brothers and sisters either. 
          Name them in your duas and prayers, and raise your dua to Allah. 
          
          Then, do everything in your power to make sure the world doesn’t forget the crimes committed, then and now.

          Please don’t forget to engage in the necessary direct actions (sit-ins, die-ins, protests, blockades, emailing & calling your MPs, etc) that will still be going on throughout the month.
          
          May our deeds be multiplied and our sins wiped during this month. Ameen.

Accepting You is officially now under intense reconstruction!
          
          The book is ✨⛄️complete⛄️✨. Over the next few weeks, I’ll finish my rewrites and upload and, sadly, delete some chapters. 
          
          I am a chronic documenter (receipts, screenshots, proof, timelines, everything :P), as evidenced in my final author note & I don’t want to spam you all, but thank you all so so so much for your kind words, votes, comments, feedback and reads.
          
          Genuinely, if not for you giving the book and me a chance, I wouldn’t have completed it, nor would I have felt pushed or developed my skills. The community you’ve given me is something I’ll forever treasure. 
          
          InshAllah, I’ll see you on my next book, but in the meantime, I can't wait to dig into some of yours.

Salam everyone! Hello! I had every intention of uploading Accepting You’s final stuff today, however, unfortunately, the police unnecessarily escalated the peaceful protest I attended this morning. 
          
          So I’ll be spending the rest of the day at a police station waiting for my friends to be released (They’ve not been cautioned or charged, nor have they done anything wrong). 
          
          InshAllah, everything will be up tomorrow! 
          
          I know I don’t have to give all this detail, but I think I should. Highlights the type of skewed dystopian fake democratic society we’re living in right now!

Even if a ceasefire were in effect, it would be 28,000 lives too late. Even if a ceasefire were in effect, it would be 12,500+ children slaughtered too late. 
          
          Violating every single Human Right that exists, decimating your way through lives like they’re dust, displacing over 1 million people to a place the size of Heathrow airport, denying a sick, injured, dying, occupied population aid (even though the highest legal court has ruled you can’t), creating 17,000 orphans, destroying 80,000 homes, shelling every single place you said was safe, leaving the bodies of dozen premature babies to rot in their cribs, forcing around 500,000 women to use tent scraps, newspapers, bags, all sorts as pads should tell everyone it’s too late. At this point, calling for a ceasefire is lower than the bare minimum. Not actively calling for one (I.e. protesting, signing petitions, calling and writing to your MPs demanding they push for one) is indefensible.
          
          Not voting for the politicians or political parties blocking one is a bare minimum. There is no such thing as a “lesser evil”. Evil is evil.
